::les sigh::

I feel really awful about not updating this lately. This is something I was really intent on keeping up. Well, I have a ton of excuses, work, home life... blah blah blah. I won't bore you with those.

All I'll do is promise a new post very soon.

Until then my pets.

I'm not a jewelry girl. Everyone knows it. I own like one ring. Now maybe in a different world, a world where I had money, I would be a jewelry girl, but until I am magically teleported there, this is how it is. What I am saying is, it takes a very special kind of bobble to make my eyes sparkle. I came across Bijou Boutique a few days ago during one of my adventures out into the cold abyss that is the Internet. They specialize in gorgeous hand made jewelry. They are bright and colorful. Fun rings and bracelets filled with personality while still being sophisticated.

They have anything a trendy modern girl could possiblly want. A trendy modern girl with guts that is. I mean, come on, not everyone is cut out to wear a hot pink Swarovski crystal puffy heart. Or a sparkly Hello Kitty Bracelet.

Not into the bright colors and sparkly tinted crystal? Never fear. The new line from Bijou Boutique speaks to a girls rebellious side with brass knuckle necklaces and skull earings. Rockilicious!

P.S. I have a correction from yesterday's post. The on-line seller of Maki Maki Vinatge is not E-Bay. It is eBay. Apologies. ;-)

I know there must be a little vintage girl crying out from all of us. Begging us to indulge in seamed panty hose, knee high go go boots and thigh length tops. Whether you yearn to re-live the 80's, obsess over the 60's mod, or have a love obsession with rockabilly 50's wear, there is something out there for you.

First up we have Mak Maki Vintage. This E-Bay store is one of the best on-line vintage shops I have come across in quite a while. It has a wide range of items from 70's Mod Indie Jackets, half length WITH rainbows (that's right people, rainbows.), to 40's pin-up dresses. Most of the designs are very asymetrical and very boxy. But in a good way!

Next, we have the endlessly glamourous Stop Staring. Looking for a fun party dress? Well this site is guaranteed to have it. They have 50's Pin-up dress, 40's sun dresses, sailor dresses, swing dresses, doll dresses, and of course the ever so trendy a-line. They also sell 50's bathing suits! Yesssssssssss.

And when you step out in Stop Staring clothing you are wearing what the stars wear. Which is refreshing since their prices aren't outrageous. Paris Hilton is a huge fan. So you can be just like her! Only, you know, not a skank.

What look is complete without come old fashioned seemed hosiery or thigh highs? Seems are back big this year along with opaque tights so you might as well stock up now. I found the site What Katie Did. It had a wide aray of vintage stockings and leggings. The Atomic Boutique also carries seemed hosiery and lots of other rockabilly goodies for the boys and girls.

Kawaii Krazy!

Ok, my dear reader, I know we are just starting out in our relationship, but if we want this to be the solid, loving, co-dependent relationship I know it can be, I need you to know this. ::deep breath:: I am obsessed with Asian Streetfashion! Yes! Kawaii is my one true love of lace and neon leggings from 1985.

Only Kawaii would allow you to run around in a crazy school girl, child prostitute get up and not be expected to belt out "Baby, One More Time". You can thank Gwen Stephani and her "Harajuku Girls" for bringing this insanity to the US. Sorry to say, it didn't sweep across the country in the mainstream like I had hoped. But now, looking back on it, I am happy it didn't. Because then it wouldn't be what I love. It wouldn't be Kawaii.

The Monster in Your Closet

Ever thought "Man, this bag would be so much better if it was a furry little monster!". Well, Creature Co-op has the solution. These little purses, pouches and bags are perfect for the modern girl who is just screaming to find something under their bed at night.

These babies are large enough for a notebook and a TV dinner (preferably with mashed potatoes and a fake brownie), as well as all your other girly stuff. Yay!

Very adorable with their dark brown corduroy and hot pink fur lining, button eyes, snap front closure AND fully adjustable strap (for long or short wear-- you decide!) Inside pocket, fully lined.

I am just in love with these things. And why not? They are so cute!
